Longlegs (2024)
I love love love a good thriller/scary movie and this was very good! I didn't see the twist in the end and the build-up was great. Scares were surprising and they kept me on my toes, overall very entertaining and good movie. Only gave 4 stars because the end could've been different, but it may be a reason it ended that way based on the character(s).
The main character is played by a horror/thriller actress that stars in another one of my favorite thrillers, It Follows and she did a wonderful job as always. Lee Harker, is a socially awkward, considering she doesn't have any other diagnosed disorder, smart and intuitive FBI agent who is placed on the case of the murders claimed by 'Longlegs'.

In each case there is a family with a daughter whose birthday falls on the 14th of any given month, the father is the murderer and commits suicide after he's done, and the killing happens within 6 days before or after the girls birthday. The reason these murder/suicides are more than what they seem is because there is no clear motive as to why the fathers are driven to murder and someone by the name of Longlegs leaves cryptic messages after the murders take place. There are no signs that point to someone else at the scene of the crime or any foul play or cult activity within any of the families. Throughout the movie, she takes the facts of the case, the encrypted riddles, and her senses to figure out who and how the family murders happen. She is obviously successful but to who's benefit?
